ROXBURY VILLAGE: A HOPE VI PROJECT

Roxbury Village is a major redevelopment sponsored by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Agency. The townhouses on the site were in such as state of disrepair as to be condemned, and had created an unfriendly and unsafe environment. The new project contains new roads, parking, and 45 new family townhouses and flats around a courtyard setting. The Roxbury House, a seven-story high-rise for the elderly and disabled will remain with substantial interior and exterior remodeling.
