CHANTERELLE RESTAURANT & OFFICE BUILDING
316 Main Street
Edmonds, Washington

Originally built in 1890, this 6,000 square feet wood frame historic structure located in downtown Edmonds housed the former Edmonds Hardware store, and later a sewing factory, until its renovation in 1987. The building's original commercial storefront was restored to accommodate new retail spaces, which include a gourmet food store and restaurant with second-floor rental and office areas. Both interior and exterior period detailing and materials were used to add to the overall historic aesthetic. The building's mechanical, electrical, and structural systems required upgrades to comply with modernbuilding codes.
