SNOQUALIMIE VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Administrative Offices, Warehouse, and Transportation Facility
North Bend, Washington
For
this project, a study was conducted to determine the feasibility of renovating
and adaptively reusing the historic SVSD complex, which includes administrative
offices (old grade school, 1911), existing bus barn (industrial building),
and warehouse (gymnasium, 1915). A condition assessment of the existing
facilities, future planning recommendations, and a cost analysis for renovation
of the existing buildings and new construction alternatives were provided.
These recommendations were then incorporated into a conceptual Master
Plan for the complete redevelopment of the complex. Through funding by
a bond issue, Tonkin Hoyne Lokan provided a final design to historically
renovate the Snoqualmie Valley School complex to provide district offices
and a new transportation facility.
